Ministries of Help
The Ministries of Help are the lay ministries that provide a welcoming and supportive environment for the house of God. They include everything from ushers and armor bearers to the culinary ministry and café. If you are a people person, these are the ministries for you.
The Ministries of Help are:
Ushers
Contact: Linda Smith
The Ushers serve as the doorkeepers of the house of God, by welcoming, seating, and providing direction and help to those who come to
worship with GCI. The ushers also distribute programs and offering envelopes, collect offerings, and distribute other items during
worship services.

Greeters

The Greeters reflect the Spirit of Christ by warmly greeting and welcoming people who come to worship with GCI as they enter
and exit the building. We serve the Body at all regularly scheduled worship services and special events.

Intercessory Prayer

The intercessory prayer team encourages, uplifts, and educates the people of God through prayer. We as intercessors are diligently
seeking the perfect will of God as it relates to Glory Center International, praying always with vigilance as the vision unfolds.
A special weekly prayer time is held at the church on Mondays at 6:30pm.

Armor Bearers

The Armor Bearer Ministry provides protection, care and assistance to the Senior Leaders and Guest Ministers in their function
of Pulpit ministry. The Armor Bearers provide escort to and from the Sanctuary during worship services on Sundays, and
transportation for guest ministers throughout the duration of their visit.

Eye inthe Sky

Eye in the Sky is the security team at GCI. We serve as watchmen for God under our Senior Leadership and provide a safe and
secure environment where praise, worship, and edification can freely go forth at all services.

Transportation

The transportation ministry serves as an evangelism unit by transporting people to the house of God on Sunday mornings and Tuesday
Night Teachings. We coordinate the van route and confirm the pick-up and drop off schedules for individual’s homes and local shelters.

Harvest House Cafe

The Café provides an atmosphere of service where people can enjoy coffees, teas, and other goods while at the ministry.
The café is open before and after worship services on Sunday mornings and Tuesday nights.

Hospitality

The ministry of Hospitality has an emphasis on providing and showing God’s love through serving the visitors and guests that come to
Glory Center International. We exemplify the love of God though serving His people and building up His church! We coordinate
decorations and receptions for special events and gift baskets for Guest Ministers that come to the ministry.

Culinary

The Culinary Ministry equips the people of God by cultivating a passion for food and food preparation. We provide special meal
presentations for major events and guest receptions.

Custodial Ministry

The Custodial Ministry serves the house of God by maintaining an aesthetically pleasing, clean, and safe environment.
We refresh the sanctuary between and after services and clean the building throughout the week.

Volunteers

The Volunteer Staff provides GCI and the community with a resource of dependable and qualified people to serve in the capacity
needed. Our primary function is to provide added assistance to the various ministries during special events.
